Sometimes I think I can see the end of the world from here. Where sky meets sea in sharp relief. I could run to its edge as if in a dream, and fly. And then I squint, I blink, I twitch a little and I realise it’s no strange horizon I look at but a wall, built around the world from here to there and there’s no way over and no way through.
I ought to be writing. I’m off work today, the sun is shining. I should be putting pen to paper. I tried goddammit. I sat on the back door step and smoked a cigarette and thought about the short piece I want to write for Sein, but it didn’t come. Too much on my mind I guess. I took some photos of a cool spider web outside. But then my batteries ran out so I can’t upload them yet. Soon, my pretties.
In the meantime, check out Heinrich Kley (1863-1945). His illustrations are fantastic, otherworldly. Jungle book erotica. Hah!

I can’t decide if it’s a world I like or I don’t like. Which keeps it interesting.
I don’t like Wausau because it’s a hard town to navigate, plus the highways that surround it are laid with speed traps…
My dreams have been super vivid lately, filled with attacking wolves and bears, glass sliding doors, and houses I’ve never been to in this life, but know that I have visited/lived in before. I would like to find some of these houses and live in them again… except without the attacking wolves and bears.
is the garg. fucking the….?
I wish Mr. Kley would whisk me away to his erotic Jungle Book land.
Great Pics, you have such a great eye. IRT: Yeah, what pussy er… cat doesn’t? -
I know something you could write.
Something else mermaidish today. Give yourself the day to collect for the manic phase ahead. I took some cool horizon pics from the plane while I was gone. I’ll email some later.
I did respond to both of your e-mails, I just hit the reply button. I even save you in my contacts list… -
a bit unsettling but incredibly skillful! me likes.
Wow. I love that stuff! I’m a big fan of very detailed pen-and-ink stuff like the first picture. Do you know Bernie Wrightson’s work? He illustrated an edition of Frankenstein in a level of detail that straddles the genius/insanity line. Some of the pages can be seen here – and these are the less intricate ones!
haha…i guess i’m too literal…i look at these and all i can think is….”OW”
Interesting sketch work to say the least…
Woah, awesome drawings. Elephants sucking a woman’s tits–now that’s a first! That’s a good picture of you, with the cig. I like the blurriness.
